In Norse Mythology, Goddess Freyja, renowned for her loveliness and beauty is said to have had two daughters with her husband Odr. These daughters were extremely beautiful and almost identical in appearance. Freyja, known for her love of jewellery and all that glitters, named her two daughters Gersemi and Hnoss. Both are words for, 'treasure' in Old Norse.
