These pretty granulation earrings can be made from either 9ct SMO gold or Ecosilver.
SMO gold is non conflict gold that can be traced back to the original mine. SMO works extremely hard to ensure that the local communities living close to the gold source are benefitting from sustainability initiatives carried out by the mining operation.
I currently have one pair of Gold and two pairs of Silver earrings all hallmarked and ready to ship.
As these granulation earrings are made by hand, each earring within any pair will be unique.

9ct SMO Gold or Ecosilver, (recycled Sterling Silver)
Approx. 40mm drop
Approx.16mm widest part
SMO 9ct Gold- All gold jewellery is required to be hallmarked by law and so these earrings will be sent for hallmarking.
Ecosilver- These earrings may not always be hallmarked. The reason for this is that I usually send my pieces off for hallmarking in small batches to keep costs down. The Total weight of these earrings is approx. 3.8g, (per pair) therefore no hallmarking is required as per Hallmarking Act 1973. My Crafter's mark 'TSW ' will be applied to one or both ear hooks.
If you would prefer these hallmarked, please contact me via my contact form for information on lead time and any possible additional costs.
Keeping Your Jewellery In Tip Top Condition
Even though gold doesn’t tarnish as easily as silver, it can slowly lose its high shine. The purer the gold the longer the shine will endure but with 9ct or 14ct gold where the gold is mixed with other alloys such as silver and copper, tarnish, dullness and patina will set in over a period of time. Fortunately, one of the advantages of owning gold jewellery is that the tarnish or dullness will set in at a much slower pace and can be easily removed at home using quick and effective DIY techniques.
As timeless as gold is, you will find that your gold jewellery can accumulate blackness, dullness and tarnish with the passage of time. This could be due to moisture/humidity, improper storage, oxygen and sulphur in the air, perspiration, exposure to chlorine, perfume, hairspray and deodorants, or even exposure to a foodstuff which are rich in sulphur.
It is easy to keep your gold jewellery in excellent sparkling condition.
Clean your gold regularly with good quality polishing clothes to remove any tarnish. Do be careful not to over polish your gold items and do not be too heavy handed with your jewellery.
Gold jewellery is best kept in an airtight box and/or jewellery pouch when not worn. This will prevent your jewellery from being exposed to the air for prolonged periods and the risk of tarnishing. It will also help prevent scratch marks appearing.
Try and limit your jewellery from exposure to chemical substances such as lotions and perfumes.
Swimming or bathing in the sea or swimming pool whilst wearing your gold jewellery is not recommended. 9ct or 14ct gold can change colour when exposed to salt water and chlorinated pools, and the salt water and chlorine can cause damage to all precious metals and precious gemstones.
It is possible to clean Sterling silver and gold with toothpaste! But, always use a mild toothpaste, not teeth-whitening toothpaste or any other loaded with hard granules.
Gemstone care- Always avoid temperature extremes. Wipe clean gently with a soft, damp, lint free cloth and dry.
